Welcome to my web site

Here you'll learn all about me: my interests and hobbies, the people in my family, and more. I've even included a list of my favorite links to other sites.

On this home page, I'll introduce myself and talk about my reasons for wanting a web site. I might put a picture of an ideal setting on this page.  Hopefully, my visitors will think the same thing.

So, without further ado, my name is Dianne.  However, my friends/most family members call me Di for short.  I am 35 years old and I have short black with burgundy hair and blue eyes.  I stand about 5' 2" all the time.  In other words, I don't wear heels - I am just not cut out for this sophisticated footwear and I'd probably end up killing myself...LOL!  Definitely not something I need, if you know what I mean.

My reason(s) for wanting a web page are very simple really.  I just recently got back online and found my page. Heck, the last time I updated it was on October 2, 2004, over 2 years ago. I didn't think Tripod would keep the site up that long!  Now, all I need is more time to work on my page as I have so many ideas running through my brain.

My interests and hobbies include (but are not limited to) reading, writing whether it be in my journal, a short story or a letter to a penfriend, listening to music, watching reality TV, surfing the web, and being with my family and friends.  I also like watching sports such as hockey, tennis, gymnastics and figure skating (I haven't been to many events over the past year though. In fact, I have only been to one and I can't even remember the name of that event...LOL! Tells you how much I have followed figure skating lately, doesn't it? Skating just isn't what it used to be with all of my favourite skaters retired or in the pros now.)

Although I haven't gotten any new things to add to my collection lately, I do collect dophins, unicorns angels and bears.  The 2 latter things have a special place in my heart because I had a son who I nicknamed Jearbear when he was still with us.

What I am like?

I consider myself to be a very honest and caring friend.  I tend to be a good listener and will only give advice if someone asks for it.  I am the type of person whose emotions get rocked easily and I don't take criticism too lightly as much as I hate to admit it.  I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve and everybody who knows me can see that.  I don't have many friends but the ones I do have are near and dear to my heart.

Updates

It has been over 2 years since I last updated my web page so please bear with me as I add more photos, update personal information, etc.

My Family

Mark and I have been married for over 9 years now now and we share 3 beautiful daughters together.  Their names and ages are Kiana (almost 10), Alexa (almost 5) and Taylor (3)...

Kiana is in Grade 5 and seems to be doing rather well this year. She just did her first project of the year last month and achieved an A mark.  We also enrolled her in the after school program for the Boys & Girls Club for only $15 for the year.  Not a bad deal, eh?  Kiana is a very sensitive child who can cry at the drop of a hat and can be very stubborn at times.  She is a very energetic child who has to always be on the go and she can't sit still for not even a minute.  I swear that if I could bottle up her energy and sell it, I'd be one rich mommy...LOL!  On the other hand, why would I want to share it?  I mean, wouldn't I need that energy for myself?  LOL!  JK!!!  However, Kiana is an excellent big sister to her sisters and is like a mother hen sometimes.  She is always right there to help and I think that's so sweet of her. She has many tastes but I will only list a few here to conserve space!  She is interested in emailing her pal/cousin, reading, drawing, cats, horses and riding her bike in addition to playing with her friends.

Alexa is my almost 5 year old and she is so affectionate.  She always has a kiss and a hug for you and is a happy Kindergarten student for the most part.  However, mischief still finds her and she likes drawing on the walls although I don't know why since she gets a timeout each and every single time she does it.  The bathroom is her favourite place to draw. I don't know how to break her of this habit especially when we do have paper!  She loves playing with her toys and watching TV.  She enjoys Timothy Goes to School, Little Bear, Dora, Max & Ruby, etc.  She has a stuttering problem so she will be referred to a speech pathologist through her school in the near future. I just sent in the consent form for it.

Next is my youngest daughter, Taylor.  She is 3 years old now and is heavily into the "terrible 3s stage".  Both her and Alexa definitely keep me on my toes, that's for sure.  She is another sweet and affectionate child who seems to always want to be sitting on my lap or someone else's.  Gee, is she spoiled or what?  She is excited about going to school next year so much so that she asks almost every day if she is going to school next year and we always say yes...LOL!  She can't wait to go to school, as if my readers can't tell...LOL!
